About the Birds of Paradise Font and This Site
birdsofparadise.co is an independent site about one font. We built it because people kept asking the same questions: what it looks like with their own name, whether they can use it for their business, and where to download it without landing on a spammy mirror. We are not Herofonts and we don't sell the font.
Who made Birds of Paradise?
Birds of Paradise was designed by Guilhem Greco, a French type designer, and published by his foundry Herofonts (earlier known as Hypefonts). The font file carries a 2014 copyright and is version 2.000.
Herofonts releases many of its fonts as free personal-use demos, with commercial licenses sold on herofonts.com. Birds of Paradise is one of the foundry's most downloaded fonts, and it turns up constantly on wedding invitations, quote graphics and tattoo designs.
How we check facts
Technical details (glyph count, version, names, kerning) are read directly from the font file's own tables. License details are taken from the license file Herofonts ships with the font. If you spot something wrong, tell us and we'll fix it.
Designers get paid
The font file isn't sold here. The free personal-use version is linked from our download page, and anyone who needs it for business is sent to Herofonts to buy a license.
